The DS Home Inspection Services, LLC Experience
Suppose you're on the market for a new house or plan on listing your property and would like to sell, you have probably been advised by your mortgage and real estate broker to have the home inspected. In Fort Washington, Maryland, inspections are not a mandatory requirement in home transactions. However, a thorough home inspection can help you identify whether the place you're interested in is a money pit or a sound investment.
At DS Home Inspection Services, LLC, I am committed to serving you, and my business is built on trust, integrity, and ensuring you have the information you need about one of the most significant investments you'll make. Choosing the right home inspector can help ease your stress and give you peace of mind. You can trust me, a Certified Professional Inspector, to perform your inspection with great detail while following the InterNACHI Standards of Practice and Home Inspector Code of Ethics.
For a clear understanding of how my home inspection services can help you, I have listed a few of my most used services below and even covered a few aspects that make me stand out as a home inspector. Keep reading to see what the DS Home Inspection Services, LLC experience is like and how you can benefit.
My Add-On Services
1. Termite Inspection
The most common inspection I do is a termite inspection. You see, every year in America, termites cause billions of dollars in structural damage, and property owners spend over two billion dollars on treating the issue. This said, a termite inspection is a relatively inexpensive service that could potentially save you thousands of dollars on repairs while also making sure your structure is safe. I also offer termite inspections at a discounted rate when added to a home inspection, and every termite inspection comes with a ninety-day termite warranty at no additional cost.
2. Water Quality Testing
The second most common inspection I perform is water quality testing, as when you're buying a new home, having your water tested is essential. Not only does low-quality water have an unpleasant taste and smell, but it can also have several long-term effects on the body. Fortunately, I have the tools and expertise necessary to identify any contamination in your water so you can ensure your family's safety, health, and peace of mind.
3. Radon Inspection
Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that can pose a health risk, including cancer, to those who are exposed to it. To negate this issue, I offer radon testing that is easy, affordable, and provides invaluable results that can ensure safety. Like my termite inspection service, I offer radon testing at a discounted rate when added to a home inspection. Every radon test comes with a ninety-day warranty at no additional cost.
4. Mold Inspection
If you have and recently had a water or moisture issue in your home, then it is very likely that you have a mold growth problem. Inhalation exposure to mold indoors can cause adverse health effects in some people. Molds produce allergens (substances that can cause allergic reactions), irritants, and, in some cases, potentially toxic substances called mycotoxins. To ensure you and your family's well being, I offer both limited and complete mold inspections where you have the option of having the inspection limited to a specific area or performed on the entire primary building and parking structure.
5. Home Energy Report
This is one of my newer yet beneficial services. Home energy reports, or HERs, are personalized reports that give you information about your home's energy use. With this service, you get an estimate of your energy cost for your new home so that you can create a budget right from the start.
What Makes Me Stand Out
a. The Reasonable Cost of Inspections
At DS Home Inspection Services, LLC, I continually strive to maintain my reputation for top-notch service, the most thorough, ethical, and accurate home inspection services, all at an affordable price point. My Pre-Offer Inspection has a flat fee of $250. Standard Inspection starts at $400 and Elite Inspection at $475 and increases by $25 every five hundred additional square feet. Similarly, my Premium Inspection, which covers pretty much everything, also has a flat fee of $999.
b. Warranties on All Full Inspections
When you choose DS Home Inspection Services, LLC, every home inspection comes with ninety-day to twelve-month warranties, handled by Residential Warranty Services (RWS). For example, RecallChek allows you to buy with confidence and remain worry-free, knowing that your home will be screened for recalled appliances during your full home inspection. NXT Structural Warranty ensures you are worry-free, knowing that you have $100,000 in coverage for the twelve months after your inspection. Every full inspection includes a full package of warranties and a home energy report.
c. My Prompt and Comprehensive Reports
Finally, what really matters in a home inspection is the amount of information gathered and how it is delivered. I offer high-quality images in HTML and PDF formats so you can quickly see what's essential, delivered within a twenty-four-hour time period (typically a few hours after the inspection) via email with a link to the report. My reports can be viewed on your phone or tablet. I am also happy to go through the report and findings with you and your agent after the inspection.
