DS Home Inspection - Month 19 - # 3 - Blog Banner

Many people who live in rural areas have a well. This needs inspection and maintenance. Health and safety are the main reasons to have your well inspected. With city water, the water is treated before reaching homes. The opposite is true for well water in that it comes from the ground and needs to stay clean. As an expert in the field, DS Home Inspection Services, LLC wants you to take full advantage of our enhanced well inspection service as we truly want you to be safe and healthy by drinking clean water.

During a well inspection, I will check on the operation of the pump. I will check the system for mechanical defects, faulty gauges, leaking seals, and rusty tanks. Additionally, I will also inspect the well’s history, do a flow test, and conduct an internal/external equipment check for the casing, pressure gauge, electrical wiring, etc. The purpose of my enhanced well inspection is to identify any defects that may cause the well to not perform properly or contaminate the water. This service benefits both buyers and existing homeowners alike.

For buyers, they will know if defects are present in order to negotiate repairs. Existing homeowners will be made aware of defects in order to address them in a timely manner. By working with me, you can gain peace of mind knowing that each enhanced well inspection comes with a six-month full warranty with no deductible. The cost is $250 with a home inspection and $350 as a stand-alone service.
