I called DS Home Inspection Services on short notice, when my new construction home builder gave me a small window to have a private home inspector look at the home in its pre-drywall stage. Ditanyan was professional, timely, knowledgeable, and thorough. Additionally, he took the time to explain the ‘what’ and the ‘why’s’ for things around the home and armed me with the knowledge I needed to confidently address issues with the builder. His services were much appreciated and proved refreshing at a time when it seems that good customer service has gone out of the window.

As a student with no prior experience, Mr.Sye helped me grasp concepts foreign to my knowledge in increments that helped better my understanding and curve my learning deficiencies. When I say I have no prior experience I mean NONE! This wasn't a problem to our teacher as he takes students from all levels of home improvement and bundles that into steady foundation we call all start from. Questions are welcomed, as the majority of my understanding came from asking about exactly what I see. The lessons are designed so that the hard hitting questions would be brought up during class and you would only have to focus on memorizing key components or understanding whole systems on your free time. This design was pivotal in my success in the class as you were constantly tasked with understanding what's needed to know and what we should understand at a basic level. Not only did Mr. Sye teach us at high efficiency, but his life experience as a home inspector brought a whole new level of value to this course. He is 100% going to give you valuable information within the profession of Home Inspection but he is also going to give you the valuable experiences he has went through during his tenure. You will end up learning invaluable information you wouldn't normally receive unless you had a good mentor within the profession. As one of his former inspection students I highly recommend this class to people of all walks of life as you will learn what it truly takes to make it as a home inspector in the DC/MD/VA area.

Ditanyan was my instructor for the 80 hour, home inspectors pre-license course at CSMD. The fact that he is a practicing home inspector added great value to the course. Mr. Sye was very professional and went over the contents of the inspection report as well went over any questions that were raised during the inspection. Mr. Sye's inspection report was very comprehensive and had video links for most of the inspection items to help provide a deeper amount of information to the client. Mr. Sye's inspection services also provided an additional option of getting repair estimates for each item to assist with the negotiation process between the buyer and seller which was very helpful. Overall, I would recommend DS Home Inspection services to home buyers and sellers.
